HELP!
I started reading "Gesang der Erde" in Germany and loved it...basically it has three parts: 1. Hoshi´tiwa and Jakal, 2. Faraday (centuries later) and 3. Morgana.
Since I could not finish while in Germany I ordered "Daughter of the Sun" which according to the German book is the original.
To my surprise "Daughter of the Sun" consists of ONLY the story of Hoshi'tiwa, with extra parts that were not in the German book.
What happened to Faraday and his daughter Morgana? Is that a different book? The translator did not add those herself, did she (a lot of reviews suspect "two different authors")?
I am very confused and would appreciate help.

Hallo Barbara,
ich surfe grad im Netz und bin auf der Suche nach ein paar spannenden Büchern. Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, das ich alle ihre Bücher gelesen habe. Erst letzte Woche hab ich mir mal wieder "Das Paradies" vorgenommen. Einfach toll.
Mein Favorit ist "Kristall der Träume". Es hat mir so gut gefallen das ich es angefangen und erst weggelegt hab als ich auf der letzten Seite angekommen bin.
Freue mich auf alles was von Ihnen noch kommt.

The Blessing Stone has moved up to my 2nd favorite book! I thouroughly enjoyed the history, spirituality and characters of this work. I couldn't help thinking that this would have made a great series by not omitting so many years in between.
So, what is considered the best book you have written? I will eventually read all of them, I'm sure, but how about some advice for now.
Keep up the splendid work.

The Blessing Stone has moved up to my 2nd favorite book! I thouroughly enjoyed the history, spirituality and characters of this work. I couldn't help thinking that this would have made a great series by not omitting so many years in between.
So, what is considered the best book you have written? I will eventually read all of them, I'm sure, but how about some advice for now.

Dear Ms. Wood,
I was awarded your newest book "Woman of a Thousand Secrets", by Library Thing, as an Early Reviewer. I am halfway through the book and wanted to let your fans know to pre-order this treasure. Alluring and teasingly mesmerizing is how I would describe the story of Tonina. I usually read several books at a time, but the ancient gods within have commanded a solo performance. I know I won't rest tonight till I finish. Bravo.

I never thought I would write you a message!! But I found your site so now a have the change to thank you for al your great books. I realy like the way you write about strong lady's who fight for their goals in their lifes and fight for their belives.
I do have four bookes now on my shelve but it is hard to find your books in Holland.Now that I have seen that you have written so many more books than I thought I will look harder to find them. Maybe you can tell me how many books there are translated into the Dutch language.
Again thank you for your books ad hope to read more of them because they made my life much ritcher.

Hello. My name is Yinia and Antofagasta in Chile live near a Great desert, that is why I have been captivated with his wonderful novels the dream of my favorite Johana or the secret of good shamans truth is that I can not stop reading in two months have read 5 books cost a lot but I find their titles, I am grateful for the heart to travel with the imagination to places that knowledge and maybe never be able to escape from my daily routine I think it has become my best companion.

Hi Barbara!. How long? I wanted to tell that today my mother bought me STAR OF BABYLON but it was expensive! That is deplorable, because sometimes you don't have the enough money to buy a book... and today I had to choose between Star of Babylon and Butterfly (and in a Books' Market!!!).

I am truly a deep friend of your books. It began years ago when I was a teenager, when I was reading my first book from you. Until now I'm amazed of your style of writing. When you, for example, write from the smell of the orange tree, I can smell the oranges while I'm reading the book! I just can't find the right words to discribe that feeling. I just finished Butterfly. I came across this book because Butterflies have a special meaning to me, that´s why I decided to read it. And I soooo love it! Thank you so much for writing it, you inspired me a lot! It amazed me in so many different ways, and most of all, that there are no boundaries in dreams and that they do come true. THANK YOU!!
Now I´m exited about reading "Private entrance" :)

A couple of weeks ago, my father came in to my bedroom and dropped this book on my bed. He hadn't even opened the book, so he asked me if it was written in engish. I didn't take much notice of it, until I saw the British flag on the front page; and as I am the anglophile number ONE that I am, I read the back cover and decided to give it a try. Green City in the Sun - in swedish: Grön Stad i Solen - is now one of the best books that I have read this year.. Ok, I must admit, I don't read much. I do read more than the average 18-year-olds in my circle of friends however, but I wish I did read more than I do! Anyhow, I haven't finished the book yet, but so far, I LOVE this book. I love the cunning, yet elegant way you change the reader's perspective from Grace's to Mona's to young Wachera's point of view. And I also adore the cliff hangers after each chapter.
I have a question that I always have wanted to ask an author; When you write a book, where do you get all the inspiration? Do you have the whole picture in your head before you write or do you just.. write along with your fantasy?

I came across your book Virgins of Paradise totally by accident in a second hand store last week. I happened to take notice of the book cover and before placing it back into the shelves, I read the back cover and decided to give this book a whirl. I'm absolutely hooked with the rich detail of culture and family saga you have given us in this story and hope I can expect that in your other novels! I'm excited to have you join my personal library and thanks for the journey to Cairo!
