My next book, "Woman of a Thousand Secrets" (St Martin's Griffin) will be published in the U.S. September 2, 2008.

Tonina came from the sea, so her grandmother liked to tell her:  A gift from the gods. She doesn't look like the people of Pearl Island and is considered ugly and an outsider.
